The pinned message our group text never had

Every table has a private page. It opens to the next event: date, time, a tappable address, a flyer, and a sign-up button if there is one. No scrolling, no "wait, what time was that?"

Three tabs. That's it.

Coming up is every event, soonest first; past ones drop off on their own. Don't forget is a short list of reminders that expire. Our table is first and last names with a role label. Nothing else.

One calendar, many doors

Every page reads the same Google Sheet. Post an event once and it shows up everywhere it should, within a few minutes.

Who sees what

The link is the role. Members see their table. Leads see their table plus leadership. Mentor moms see their table plus mentor mom events. Coordinators see everything.

A head mentor mom's page includes Leadership and Mentor Moms, since she attends leadership meetings.

Adding an event takes a minute

Open the Add MomCo event form on your phone. Date, time, title, type, and the one that matters: Who. That's what decides which pages show it.

Submit, and it lands where it belongs

The form adds a row to the sheet. A few minutes later the event is on every page whose audience matches, tagged so nobody wonders who it's for.

Flyers and sign-up links ride along

Attach a flyer in the form and it shows on the event, tap to enlarge. Put a sign-up or RSVP address in Link and a label in Link text, and the event gets a button.

Adding something for your table

Save the Add MomCo event form to your home screen next to the page. A get-together just for your table goes in through the form, with your table under Who. It shows up on your table's page within a few minutes.

Fixing something already posted

A typo, a new time, cancelled? A reminder for your table's Don't forget list? Those live in the sheet, so text a coordinator or Allison. They make the change and it's on every phone within minutes.

Reminders live in the sheet

The Reminders tab is one row per reminder. Give it an end date and it disappears on its own after that day. Add a table name under Who and only that table sees it.

Fixing something

Typo, new time, cancelled? Open the sheet (Google Sheets app works) and change the cell. Type anything in Hide to take a row off every page without deleting it. Changes show within a few minutes.

Nothing on the pages is edited by hand. The sheet is the only place anything changes.

Put it on your home screen

Open your link in Safari. Tap the three dots at the bottom, then Share, then View More, then Add to Home Screen, then Add. (Older Safari: tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.) It lands on your home screen like an app, icon and all.

If it opened inside Messages

Tapping a link in a text sometimes opens it in a mini browser with a Done button and no Add to Home Screen. Tap the compass icon in the corner to open it in real Safari, then install from there.

Android works too

Open the link in Chrome, tap the three dots at the top right, then Add to Home screen (or Install app if you see that instead). Same icon, same everything. Maps opens Google Maps.

Now do the same with the form

Open your Add MomCo event form link in Safari and add it the same way: three dots, Share, View More, Add to Home Screen, Add. You can rename it in the Add box. Page and form, side by side.

The rules that keep it safe

These pages are private by link, not by password. That works as long as everyone follows five rules.
